| The intensive research program is focused on the interaction between the vectorial Calculus of Variations, Singular Integrals and the Mathematical Analysis of Fluids. A central theme will be the construction of weak solutions to the equations governing the evolutions of incompressible fluids using the method pioneered by De Lellis and Szekelyhidi for the Euler equations. At the core of this phenomenon lie state of the art results corresponding to the vectorial Calculus of Variations and Singular integrals. Thus, we have gathered in Madrid world wide experts in the three fields. Along the trimester there will be short courses and talks, aiming to bring together these communities as well as providing a coherent introduction to the field for young researchers whose participation is encouraged. |
